The Luke Anselmo Endowment for Advanced Pediatric Heart Research
In his 15 months on this earth, Luke managed to both soak in the world and shine back on it with his light. Half of his words were “baba” since that captured so many of the things he loved: his brothers, binkies, dog Bella, and bottles. Since the time he could crawl and then walk, he would make any space his exploring, tearing it apart, finding all the fragile items within reach (followed by a finger waving “no no no” with a big grin), and generally not accepting any limitations.
Luke’s nicknames were “Trouble” for his penchant for finding the most dangerous thing in the room and “Lukey Lionheart” for his bravery and strength to make it through his many lengthy hospital stays.
Luke passed away in April 2021, and we honor his memory with an endowment dedicated to funding medical research to improve the lives and care of kids born with congenital heart defects. Many thanks for your generous donation in support of heart warriors.
